As the BHBA looks forward to the future through its 85th Anniversary year and beyond, Yan Goldshteyn, of the Maven Law Firm, will be installed as President of the Beverly Hills Bar Association Barristers at the 2016 Installation and Awards Dinner on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at 5:30 p.m. at the Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills. Other Barristers officers to be installed include Elizabeth Hall Peterson, of the Law Offices of Peter Lauzon, APLC, President-Elect; Nadira Imam, of Lawrence H Jacobson, APC, Secretary; Jack McMorrow, of Harris-Ginsberg LLP, Treasurer; and William S. Wenzel, of The Law Offices of William S. Wenzel APC, Immediate Past President.
Mr. Goldshteyn advocates on behalf of clients in business and immigration law in both transactional and litigation matters. In immigration law, he represents clients and families in obtaining immigrant visas, green cards and citizenship from U.S. Immigration and Citizenship Service (USCIS), assists in all aspects of immigration proceedings from consular processing to extreme hardship waivers, and appears at removal proceedings before the Executive Office for Immigration Review of the Department of Justice. As a business lawyer, Mr. Goldshteyn has advised on business formation for foreign investors, and incorporated profit and non-profit business entities.
Mr. Goldshteyn received his BA in Business Administration and Economics with a minor in statistics and worked in the private sector before attending law school, earning his Juris Doctorate at Western State School of Law. Dedicated to pro bono work, he assists with answering legal questions at the Monthly Pro bono Roxbury Park Legal Clinic, serves hot meals at Samoshel Homeless Shelter in Santa Monica, and participates in Teen Court.

Since 1984, the BHBA has acknowledged BHBA members for exemplary volunteer service. The Barristers Lawrence J. Blake Award will be presented to Jeremiah G. Livesay.
