Great Day for a Bike Ride!
Last week, several Barristers members met for a bike ride in the South Bay. Thirteen and and a half miles later we were back at Good Stuff Restaurant, hungry for a terrific brunch. Thanks to Brian Smith for organizing, and can't wait for the next program in July!
Feeding the Homeless, One BBQ Burger at a Time!
This weekend's trip Samoshel was another success, with the Barristers cooking up a bunch of yummy BBQ burgers that everyone loved. Next month sushi?
Remember, BHBA Barristers head to Samoshel Homeless Shelter in Santa Monica the 2nd Saturday of every month to help prepare food and serve a meal to about 60 of the City's homeless. The next trip will be on May 11, 3-5pm. Join us for a fun, easy and very rewarding experience you won't forget!
4/10: Board of Governors Meeting
If you've ever wanted to learn more about the BHBA, to meet and network with other young lawyers in LA, or even just to find some great volunteer opportunities, join the Barristers at its monthly Board of Governors Meeting! It will take place Wednesday, April 10, at the BHBA Headquarters (9420 Wilshire Blvd., 2nd Floor, Beverly Hills, CA 90212).

BHBA Barristers Bench-Bar Bike Ride — Sunday, April 21, 2013 9am-Noon
Enjoy a bike ride in the ocean breeze in Hermosa and Manhattan Beaches with fellow judges and lawyers followed by a congenial lunch at the Good Stuff Restaurant on Sunday, April 21, 2013.
Participants will check-in at The Good Stuff Restaurant in Hermosa Beach at 8:30 a.m. The bike ride will begin at 9:00 and riders will travel north or south (depending on whether they want a more or less strenuous ride) for one hour.
At the hour mark, riders will turn around and ride back. Everyone will return to the Good Stuff Restaurant in Hermosa Beach at 11:00 a.m. for brunch. We estimate that the price of participation would be about $25.00 to cover the cost of a bicycle rental and brunch.
Every rider gets a commemorative BHBA Bench-Bar Bike Ride T-Shirt!

New Admittees Reception on March 14, 2013 a Success!!
The Beverly Hills Bar Association Barristers proudly hosted their popular New Admittees Reception on March 14, 2013, garnering over 150 attendees.
Bar Leaders and Barristers of the BHBA warmly welcomed those newly admitted to the profession at the Beverly Hills Bar Association’s offices in the Rolex Building on Wilshire Boulevard.
The Honorable Judge John Segal addressed the attendees about the importance of community involvement and building lasting relationships in the legal profession, reinforcing some of the core values of the Beverly Hills Bar Association.
Bar Officers, Board of Governors Members and other Bar Leaders and Bar Staff were all present to welcome the New Admittees.
Guests mingled and networked with fellow constituents as they snacked on delicious hors d'oeuvres at the reception.
The Barristers would like to thank all those who attended as well as Lexis-Nexis, our generous sponsor, who contributed to the success of our event.

Roxbury Park Free Legal Clinic Sat, April 6th, 10am-Noon
Volunteer attorneys provide guidance to the public on various legal issues and basic legal rights in the areas of consumer law, landlord-tenant, small claims, wills and trusts, business disputes and other related legal issues.
The clinic is held at the Roxbury Park Community Center, located at 471 S. Roxbury Drive (Olympic Blvd and Roxbury Drive) in Beverly Hills.
Please note that due to temporary construction at Roxbury Park over the next year, our clinic will be moved to La Cienega Park, located at 8400 Gregory Way (La Cienega Blvd and Gregory Way) in Beverly Hills starting Saturday, May 4, 2013.
