We’re headed back to Samoshel this Saturday to make a homemade Italian dinner replete with Roman-style Chicken, Rosemary Roasted Potatoes, Caesar Salad with Pancetta, Panzanella (sort of like a mixed up bruschetta salad) and a Berry Strata (a berry bread pudding)! 

BHBA Barristers head to Samoshel Homeless Shelter in Santa Monica the 2^nd Saturday of every month to help prepare food and serve a meal to about 60 of the City's homeless! If you've never been before, come join us! If you have, you know it's fun, easy and very rewarding!

What: BHBA Barristers Community Outreach Event - Give back to your community and network with other young like-minded professionals!

When: This Saturday, December 8th from 3:00-5:00 pm (you still get your Saturday night!). We start preparing at 3:00 pm and start serving dinner at 4:30 pm or so.

Where: Samoshel Homeless Shelter - 505 Olympic Blvd in Santa Monica, CA 90401.

Why: It's a great opportunity to network, get a little perspective, develop a connection with the community and make a real difference!

Parking: Pull into the lot out front (we squeeze in as many as possible) or take metered parking on the street (but read the signs!).

Please RSVP so we know how many volunteers to expect.

Get the door! It’s Samoshel! This month we’re making HOMEMADE PIZZAs!! If you have a favorite topping (i.e., pepperoni, mushrooms, green peppers, black olives or even anchovies!), bring it and you can make your own specialty pizza! We’ll provide all the rest!

Barristers Jeanine Percival Wright, Anton Labrentz and Nick Blesich will plan the meal and buy the food – you just have to show up at 3:00 pm to help us cook and serve!

Our group usually feeds 50-60 people for about $150. If you can throw in a couple of bucks to help offset the cost of the food, that would be fantastic. But even if you can't, still come and help out. We’ll be really glad you did! And so will you!
